You know that Kitah's Burden is the same skill as Etherial Burden right? So, you can either save yourself the faction and use EB, or use them both as nrg management/snares. If you are concerned about nrg use Spirit of Failure instead of Price of Failure. You can also use Energy Tap/Drain Chant.

You also need a cover-up hex. During the FPE I was running Inepti/IoR/Conjure/Cume Pain. Conjure being my cover-up (much like in a Migraine build). Since both IoR and Conjure are fairly spammable, I felt no need for Clumsiness.

You definitely do not need Illusion of Weakness- it's a fairly useless skill unless you plan on running IW and expect to be right in the middle of things and taking lotsa damage. I'd take Distortion 10x over IoW. At lvl 14+ Illusion Distortion is twice the amazing skill it is anyway. Plus Distortion triggers SoF/PoF, if you get targeted.

Reckless Haste is a great skill but keep in mind Assassins have a skill that allows them to ignore miss chance and therefore if you use it on an Assa, you are running the risk of buffing their damage output a lot.

Honestly, I think you don't need the curses- Mesmers have enough stuff to serve as anti-fighter. Empathy and Spirit Shackles are 2 amazing skills (with low recharge) that are worth considering over the ones you mentioned. They are also less conditional.

Edit: The Rogue armor is fairly useless in Factions. Since you have skills like Distortion, I think Elemental damage is way more dangerous than Physical. Not to mention, you lose a bit too much nrg by running Rogue. The new stance armor is perfect when combine with Distortion, or you can also use the while enchanted armor, if you so insist on IoW. Also Noble armor is universal in its effect (as of this moment), so Noble gloves or Boots are a nice added armor bonus.

I find myself saying this pretty often lately, but drop Curses and pump the points into Inspiration.

Sub-out Price of Failure for Spirit of Failure, and pop either Distortion or Drain Enchant for IoW. If at all possible, bring both Drain Enchant and Distortion. Like Hella said, Reckless Haste might be a spare skill slot.

But the iffy thing about Distortion is that if you do happen to face an Assassin, they'll rape you right through it. Their anti-evasion skills/attacks really are quite second-to-none.

Yeah those assassins will be trouble if you dont know how to handle them. But because when you are an assassin, you 'just have to' complete your chain of attacks, "enter domination mesmer", match ends as quickly as it started.

save some room for fast casting. without it you may as well be necro/mesmer. at 8 -10 fastcasting you really notice the difference but just play with the number and see what you like. as some others have said look to inspiration to save yourself some energy. at 10 inspiration spirit of failure gives you 4 energy every time the melee foe misses. power drain will give you around 16 or so if you get off the interrupt. and don't spread your attribute points too thin. try domination/inspiration or illusion/inspiration or even curses but be sure to fit in inspiration.

unlock signet of midnight. it with plague touch is dirty pool.

With 11 in curses you really should have Faintheartedness in there somewhere. I use a similar build (all prophecies though) and Faintheartedness is great for an anti-melee build.

Not when you don't want them to attack slower...

This isn't always so but Shackwrack is going to prove pretty deadly to a fast attacking, nrg dependent melee character.
